He was predeceased by : his parents, Lamar Joseph Baxley and Vernell Howell Baxley; his wife Linda Jackson Baxley; and his brother Thomas Baxley. He is survived by : his sons, Barry Baxley and Steven Baxley; and his siblings, Joseph Baxley and Mary Louise Haggerty. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; multiple great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
