She was predeceased by : her husband Buford Rice; her parents, James Gideon and Massey Gideon; and her siblings, Doug Gideon and Ruby Fireball.

She is survived by : her sons, Leonard Rice (Cathy), Jimmy Rice and Kenny Gideon (Maudie); and her siblings, Donny Gideon and Linda West. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
