He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Ervin and Letha Housand Hardee; his wife Jean Elliott Hardee; his daughter Cindy Morris; and his siblings, Rev. Drue Hardee, Lanue Hardee, Ethel Mae Gause, Lorine Pennywitt and Pearl King.
He is survived by : his children, Alan Hardee (Audrey) of Greenville, SC, Shannon Hardee (Maria) of Evergreen, SC, Ronny Hardee of Florence, Kelly Hardee of Florence and Judy Willeke (Bob) of Cocoa Beach, FL. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
