He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Lawrence Owen and Margaret Fortner Owen; and his siblings, Becky Smith (Milton), Skip Owen and Billy Owen.

He is survived by : his brothers, Dennis Owen and Rick Owen (Sandy); and his sister-in-law Jan Owen.
