He is survived by: his children, James Nelson Ridings of Virginia and Anita Ridings Holmes of Norfolk, VA; his stepdaughter Fran Gray (Charles) of Florence; and his siblings, Eugene Ridings of Spartanburg and Martha Ann Calvert of Spartanburg.
