She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Gordon Cutter and Mary Alma Hicks Cutter; her sons, Melvin Wallace Bird, Jr., William Gordon Bird (Edward L. "Jack") and Goebel; and her brother John F. Cutter.
She is survived by: her son John Weston Bird; her stepdaughter Britt Alexandria Bird; her niece Mariann Grantham D'Arcangelis (Daniel D'Arcangelis); her nephew Henry F. "Hal" Grantham, IV (Caroline Borowski); her great-niece Isabella Grace Grantham; her sister Mary Alma Cutter; and her former husband Wallace Bird.
