He was predeceased by: his parents, Hester Cline Whitesides and Major Thomas Patrick Whitesides. He is survived by: his wife Ellen; his sisters-in-law, Priscilla Hayes and Helen Corbett; and his nieces and nephews, Lynn Powell, Jan Stalvey, Gary Hayes and Phil Corbett.
