She is survived by: her husband Johnny Mack Brown; her children, Carol McCollum (Alfonza), Pastor Mary Malloy (Printis), Gladys Inman (Lonzo), Idell Whittington (Joe), Sarah Brown (James), Barbara Spears (Dale), Patricia Bethea (Torance), Lonnie Brown (Shirley), Ernest and Bobby Brown; her grandchild Alfonza McCollum; her siblings, Bertha Clark, Pearline Dupree (J. R.), Carrie Baker, Maggie Gurley, Mary Ann Purnell, Pearlie McKoy, Evon Davis (Fredrick), Ella Purnell, Willie, Tommy Purnell (Helen) and James Purnell (Sheba); her aunts and uncles, Louise Bennett, Gladys Hayes, Frank James and Kenny James; her sister Flora McDougal; and her goddaughters, Bertha Alford and Jessie. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
