He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Brown and Lannie Poston Brown; and his siblings, Nellie, Carrie, Rose, Neta, Mack Jr., Charlie, Broadus and Hugh.
He is survived by: his wife Ellen Stephens; his children, Scott (Alex), Karen (James), Barry and Greg; his granddaughters, Adriana and Emily; and his brother Rob. He is also survived by in-laws; and numerous nieces and nephews.
