He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Rowland and Isham Jehu Larry "Buddy" McLaughlin Jr.; and his brother Samuel Rowland McLaughlin. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Isgett McLaughlin; his children, McLaughlin IV (Christyn), Ashley Ann McLaughlin, Laurie Kendall McLaughlin and Elizabeth Claussen Garris (Kyle); and his grandchildren, Caroline Lammon (David), Charlie Mac Toman, Tucker Toman, Clint "Bonk" Parks, Jr. of Ellie Parks, IJL, McLaughlin V, Gabriel "Gabe" Taylor McLaughlin, Carly Warren and Cameron Warren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Florence Baptist Temple (2308 S Irby St, Florence, SC 29505). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Mount Hope Cemetery (100 Cherokee Rd, Florence, SC 29501).
