He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gause Porter and Edna Mae Rogers Porter; his wife Penelope Hardaway Porter; and his siblings, William Porter, Jimmy Porter, Herman Porter, Robert Porter, Elliot Porter and Mary Florence Lambert.
He is survived by: his children, Jack Porter and Julie Nelson (Scott); his grandchildren, Candi Johnson (Matt), Christy Seal (Ken), Steven Nelson and Kevin Nelson; his great grandchildren, Danielle Johnson, Aiden Johnson, David Seal and Renee Seal; and his sister Gladys Grant.
Covid-19 protocol will be followed at the cemetery.
