She is survived by: her mother Margaret Jones Grant; her daughter Demica Rene Grant; her sister Diana Nettles of Columbia; her aunt Carrie Ann Jones of Florence; her uncle Richard Jones of Darlington; her children, Charlie Thornton Jr., Camelia Thornton, Denise Thornton, Lolita Thornton, Carolyn Nelson (James) and Faye Thornton of Vero Beach; her niece Ant; and her nephew David Grant III of Florence. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchild, her sisters.
