With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Max Alton Gardner (Florence, South Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Mayo Gardner and Frank Gardner; his son Dexter Gardner; and his siblings, Mendel Gardner, Frank Gardner, Jr., Elease Small, Nettie Mae Fountain, Sarah McMackin, Virginia Douglass, Marion Newsom and Laney Lucas.
He is survived by: his wife Maree; his daughter Cindy Schnibben (George "Buck"); his grandsons, Jonathan (April), David (Alix) and Thomas Schnibben; his great grandchildren, McKinney, Maxton and Josephine Schnibben; his siblings, Randall Gardner (Libby), Doug Gardner (Harriet) of Lancaster, Sybil Smith of Mount Pleasant and Frankie Phillips of Flat Creek; his siblings' children, Wayne McMackin (Rhonda) of Lancaster, Phillip McMackin of Supply, NC and Connie Norton (Jimmy); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Greer and Abbie.
