He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Fritz Hord; his daughters, Janice Hord Vinson (Mark) of Florence and Michele Holmes (Paul) of Orlando, FL; his grandchildren, Brendan Holmes, Hunter Vinson, William Vinson, Graycen Holmes, Clayton Holmes and Jackson Holmes; and his siblings, Jack D. Hord of Wilmington, NC, Franklin G. Hord of Wilmington, NC and Mereldyn Carrol Lowery of Virginia Beach, VA..
