He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sara McElveen Smith and Robert William Smith; his wife Patricia McMillan Chandler; his son Ronald William "Smitty" Smith, Jr. (Jennifer Petroff Smith) of Charleston; his sisters, Connie Hukill (Ryon) of Plano, TX and Cheryl Horton (Mike) of Kingstree; his brother-in-law Mike Chandler (Terry) of Anderson; his granddaughters, Alexa and Mallory Smith; and his close friend Banks Rodgers Johnson. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews.
