She is survived by: her children, Myrna H. Simmonds of Florence, Felecia H. Girton (Karl) of Pennsylvania, Abby H. Gardner (Jerry) of Atlanta, GA, Barry Hewett (Donna) of Florence and Marc Burns (Penny) of Florence; her stepson Tom Burns (Diana) of Augusta, GA; her sister Avis Shipman (Francis) of Florence; her grandchildren, Jay Gardner, Lisa O'Quinn (Bryan), Stuart Simmonds, Jr. (Allison), Clay Simmonds (Jill), Matthew Girton (Joanette), Melanie Girton (Craig), Dena Suggs (Tim) and Jordan Burns (Chelsea); and her granddaughter-in-law Lydia Burns. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
