He was predeceased by: his parents, Isabel Holmes and Mayo Holmes; his daughter Marcie Holmes Romano; and his brother Mayo Holmes. He is survived by: his daughter Holli; his siblings, Chris Holmes, Greg Holmes (Laurel) and Laurie Hendricks; his niece Anna Marie Holmes; and his grandchildren, Drew, Tony and Gabe. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Oakdale Cemetery (520 N 15th St, Wilmington, NC 28401).
