He was predeceased by : his parents, R. B. Yates and Ruth Yates; and his brother Ronnie Yates. He is survived by : his wife Diane Yates; his daughter Amanda Yates; his granddaughters, Juliana Aubrey Talero, Gabriella Rayne Talero and Alexia Sky Talero; his great grandchild Myla Rayne Starnes; and his brothers, Reverend Barry Yates and Larry Yates of Fort Mill.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in honor of Paul to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
