She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Henry Hill and Mattie Locke Hill; her husband Ted Mayes; her children, Sharon Mayes of Greenville, Tracy Mayes of Greenville and Ted Christopher Mayes of Greenville; and her siblings, Callie Rosemond (Jack) of Greenville, Carol Brockman of Greenville and Carl Hill of Greenville. She was also cherished by six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
