He was predeceased by: his wife Nellie Jean Lawton Brown; his parents, James Malcolm and Emma Elizabeth Sharpe Brown; and his brother Thomas Russell Brown. He is survived by: his sons, William Edwin "Eddie" Brown, Jr. (Marilyn) of Pelzer, James "Jim" Walter Brown (Brenda) of Simpsonville and Thomas "Tommy" Earl Brown, Sr. (Anita) of Seneca; his siblings, Edna Mae Martin of Abbeville, Carolyn Mobley of Greenwood, James Malcolm Brown, Jr. of Greenwood and David Michael Brown of Abbeville; his grandchildren, Michelle Land (Danny), Kevin Brown (Nicole) and Thomas Brown, Jr.; and his great grandchildren, Justin, Joanna Land, Easton, Nora James Brown, Tanner, Sawyer and Owen Brown.
