He is survived by: his wife Barbara West Smith; his children, Donald "Don" Smith, Jr. (Lea), David Smith (Beth) and Beverly Boggs; his grandchildren, Christopher Smith, Amelia Elder (Logan), Bonnie Portillo (Dustin) and Zachary Canter; and his great grandchildren, Obadiah Elder and Olivia Portillo.
