She was predeceased by: her spouse Belton Dempsey Chesney; her parent Harley Gervis "H. G."; her sons, Greg Chesney and Eddie Chesney; and her siblings, Holland Babb, H. G. Babb, Jr., Julia Babb, Nell Horton and Faye Prior.

In lieu of flowers or memorials, the family asks that friends perform an act of kindness for some elderly person.
