She was predeceased by: her spouse T. C. Abbott, Sr.; her parents, Dillard Bud Ballew and Catherine Kirby Ballew of Virginia; her daughter Susan Clark; and her siblings, Charles Ballew and Martha Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Tommy Abbott (Rhonda), Kent Abbott (Michelle), Cleva Garner (Porter) and Judy Howard; her siblings, Kirby Ballew (Thelma), Jean Smith and Caroline Garrison; her son-in-law Machen Clark; and her grandchildren, Heather Bradshaw, Scottie Howard (Jennifer), Jody Morales (Luis), Christopher McHone, Beth Bladon (Justin), Leigh Garner and Katie Dills (Conor). She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
