He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Duard Rodgers and Helen Garrett Rodgers; and his siblings, James Rodgers and Carolyn Martin. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Ann "Dot" Hammond Rodgers; his children, Harry Rodgers (Amy) and Cher McDonald (Zach); and his grandchildren, Lucas Rodgers, Cole Rodgers, Alex McDonald and Shelby McDonald.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 417 Rutherford Road, Greenville, SC 29609; or to St. Jude's Hospital for Children, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
