He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Jo "Becky" Dickson; his parents, Hugh Perna Dickson and Annie Hall Dickson of Virginia; his siblings, Edward "Peg" Dickson, Ruth Eaton and Helen Eaton; and his granddaughter Jerilyn Capers.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gwen (Glenn Hotchkiss) and Marla (Franky Lancaster); his siblings, Raynay Dickson, Reginald Vickery, Rodney Vickery and Linda Bowen; his grandchildren, Becky H. White, Tommy Hotchkiss and Christopher Lancaster; and also, Breana Capers, Bradley Capers, Morris White and Savannah White.
