He is survived by: his wife Sallie Griffin of Piedmont; his children, Rickey Jenkins of Woodruff, Leeroy Griffin, Jr. (Gerald Griffin), Bradley Griffin of Fredricksburg, VA, Shaun Griffin (Stephen Griffin) of Piedmont, Yolanda Griffin and Olivia Griffin of Yonkers, NY; and his siblings, Willie Griffin of Piedmont, Oberia Milam of Simpsonville, Taffie Fordham of Detroit, MI, Jammie Watson of Greenville and Jannie Humphrey of Mt. Vernon, NY. He is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
