She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel H. Gentry and Oressa W. Gentry; and her sons, Sam Sloan, Jr. and Dicky Sloan. She is survived by: her sons, Raymond Sloan of Simpsonville and Randy Sloan of Laurens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to: St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
