She was predeceased by : her parents, Toy Patton and Lillie Branyon Patton; her former life partner John Abner Woods; her husband Richard Edsel Kirby; her son Michael Patton Woods; and her siblings, Wilda Patton Pettigrew-Thackston and Jack Patton.

She is survived by : her daughter-in-law Rose Ann Woods; her granddaughter Anna Woods Baccarny (Robert); her great grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth Baccarny Enloe (Andrew) and Robert Tyler Baccarny; and her friends, Rachel Ann Rampey and Caiden Rampey.
