He is survived by: his children, Hector Cruz, Lisander Cruz (Iris) and Vermary Cruz (Eric); his stepson Ariel Rivera; his siblings, Edwin Cruz (Zoraida), Nelly Cruz and Zoraida Cruz (Jose); his grandchildren, Ana Davila, Mara Davila, Angel Cruz, Luis Davila, Lisander Cruz and Frances Chacon; his great grandchild Anna Gonzalez; his nephew Ed Cruz (Cynthia); and his former wife Veronica Torres.
