She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Toy and Susan Elizabeth Westmoreland; her sister Juanita Westmoreland Cook; and her husband William Avery Patton. She is survived by: her sons, William Patrick Patton and Paul Ernest Patton; her daughter-in-law Jo Ann Trammell Patton; her granddaughter Ashley Ann Patton Bratton (James Rufus Bratton III); and her great grandchildren, Sims Rufus Bratton and William Everett Bratton.
