He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Alvin Smith and Alice Tollison Smith. He is survived by: his children, Everett Smith, Carl Smith (Gail) and Rebecca "Becky" Peters; his sister Margie Land; his grandchildren, April Gross (Kurt), Brandy Lowery (Sam), Kevin Smith, Brittany Ware (Mac) and Shawna Stone; and his great grandchildren, Tristen Gross, Nathan Gross, Skyler Collier, Kayla Collier, Bonnie Collier, Dylan Smith, Aiden Gross, Issac Stone, Mackenzie Ware and Ashlynn Lowery.
