She is survived by: her parent Mamie Parker Whelchel; her daughter Ella Byars of Blacksburg; her brother Roy T. Whelchel of Gaffney; her son Scruggs; and also, Michael Cook, Robbie Byars, Billy Joe Smith, Brian Henderson and Josh Henderson.
