She was predeceased by: her parent Lee Otis Benton; her brother Calvin Benton; her grandson Steve Foster; and her stepgrandson Landon Mullinax. She is survived by: her spouse Tommy Eugene Mullinax; her parent Sarah Scruggs Benton; her daughters, Deana Lea Hill of Gaffney, Cindi Hill Deese (Danny) of Lenoir, NC and Angela Hill of Gaffney; her stepchildren, Patty Bowden (Bobby) of Georgia, Kenny Mullinax (Dorothy) and Timmy Mullinax (Crystal Towe); her siblings, Mike Benton (Gail Burgess) of Greer and Nancy Benton Rodgers (Bill) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Stacey Foster (Nate Wilson), Cody Thompson (Heather), McKenzi Thompson, Alan Mullinax (Kayla), Shane Mullinax, Crissy Mullinax, Tiffany Mullinax, Christopher Bowden and Austin Bowden; and her great grandchildren, Dane Foster, Laila Thompson, Kiley Mullinax and Brantley Mullinax.
