He was predeceased by: his spouse Bennie Cecile Harmon Owens; his parents, Ben Tillman Owens, Sr. and Belle Humphries Owens; his son Mike Owens; and his son-in-law Tim Elliott.
He is survived by: his children, Danny Owens (Debbie Lynn) of Gaffney, Cindy Hale (Cecil) of Gaffney and Debbie Elliott of Gaffney; his sister Jenny Owens of Charlotte, NC; his brother-in-law Bobby Gregory of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Anita Allison (Steve), Terry Hale (Tara), Christopher Owens (Shannon), Steven Elliott (Trina) and Mikey Pennington; his great grandchildren, Noah Morris (Katlynn), Kelsey Dover, Sassy Hale, Jonathan Owens, Jayden Owens and Easton Elliott; and his sibling's children, Myra Hodge, Terry Neal and Garland Hughes. He is also survived by numerous other nieces and nephews.
