It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Billy Beattie (Gaffney, South Carolina), born in Blacksburg, South Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Keller Beattie; his parents, Reuben Beattie and Mamie Cobb Beattie; his daughter-in-law Denise Beattie; and his siblings, Arthur Beattie, Bob Beattie, Sarah Ledbetter and Colleen Beattie.
He is survived by: his children, Billy Donald Beattie Jr. of Gaffney, Todd Beattie (Mandy) of Seneca and Wanda Sullivan (Dan) of Inman; his grandchildren, Daniel Sullivan (Dawn), David Sullivan (Jennifer), Carrie Beattie, Madison Beattie and Mason Beattie; and his great grandchild Grayson Sullivan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
