He was predeceased by: his parents, Deacon Dewey Jefferies Sr. and Minnie Dawkins Jefferies; his brother Captain Dewey Jefferies, Jr.; his children, Karen Wood-Dover and Anthony Wood (Winky); and his niece Angel Jefferies.
He is survived by: his wife Miriam Von Jefferies; his children, Calvis D. Jefferies (Sarah), Oshea Jefferies (Sparkle), Avery Wood, Terry Wood Sr., Kikkoman Jefferies, Tenisha Jefferies of Gastonia, NC., Felice Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC. and Jessica Martin of Gaffney, SC.; his siblings, Nellie J. Smith of Gaffney, SC. and Nesbitt L. Jefferies of Gaffney, SC; his aunt Emma Houston; his sisters-in-law, Phyllis D. Jefferies of Mesa, Lillian Manning of Gaffney, SC and Lucille Wood of Gaffney, SC; and his son-in-law Bobby Joe Dover, Sr.. He is also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
