It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Powell (Gaffney, South Carolina), born in Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on July 23, 2019, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Edgar Powell and Jessie Upchurch Powell; and his brothers, Joe Powell and Wayne Powell. He is survived by: his wife Miriam "Minky" Peterson Powell; his sons, Edgar Keith Powell and Benjamin Jason Powell of Gaffney; his siblings, Bobby Powell of Morganton, NC and Patricia Elrod of Morganton, NC; and his grandchildren, Jesse Powell, Tyler Powell, Hannah Powell, Gareth Powell and Makayla Foster.
