He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward DeRoy Wells and Audrey Hallman Wells; his son Duke Wells; his sister Evelyn Sissy Wallace; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Spencer Rabon and Gloria E. Spencer.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean Spencer Wells; his grandchildren, Christian Wells and Holly Wells Marthers (Joseph); his great grandchildren, Blaine, Larkin and Finley Marthers; and his sister-in-law Mary Lee of Gaffney.
