He was predeceased by: his parent Claude McDowell; and his siblings, Claude McDowell, Gene McDowell, Raymond McDowell, Eula Bowen and Dorothy McDowell.
He is survived by: his spouse Wilma Talley McDowell; his parent Daisy Epson McDowell; his daughters, Carolyn Eubanks (John) and Brenda Armstrong (Alan); his sisters, Barbara Blackmon and Ellon Bridges; his grandchildren, Nickole Maronge, Christopher Jackson and Christy Armstrong; and his great grandchildren, Koen Jackson, Abigail Maronge and John Maronge.
