He was predeceased by: his spouse Robina Salvador Owens; his parents, Amos W. Owens and Jessie Mae Scruggs Owens; his sons, Ray Owens and Terry Owens; and his brothers, Dean Owens, Frank Owens and Ray Owens.
He is survived by: his sons, Kenny Owens (Ann) of Christiansburg, VA, Donnie W. Owens, Jr. of Galax, VA and Michael Owens (Elizabeth) of Louisa, KY; and his sister Sandra Coble (Lane) of Lincolnton, NC. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren.
