She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband James Timothy "Birdie" Blanton; her parents, Paul McSwain and Fanny Mullinax Garland; her sons, Shannon Blanton of Gaffney and Ike Blanton (Christa) of Waxhaw; her brother Jeff Garland; her grandchildren, Timmy Blanton, Jessie James Blanton, Ike Blanton, Cloe Blanton and Loki Blanton; and her sisters, Ruth Brown and Jean Cash (Cricket). She was also cherished by loving mother, loved her grandchildren and her dogs.
