He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar Martin and Margaret Osment Martin Gaffney; his stepmother Juliette Martin; and his daughter Debbi Martin Powell. He is survived by: his wife Sara Reid Martin; his sons, Phillip Martin (Debbie) of Anderson, Scott Martin (Shevell) of Black Mountain, NC and Skip Martin (Kim) of Simpsonville; his son-in-law Lynn Powell of Gaffney; his sisters, Margie White (Calvin) of Blacksburg and Barbara Vogt of St. Louis, MO; and his grandchildren, Joey Powell (Adair), Lynne Shackleford (Jon), Missy Rudd, Danielle Stevens, Erica Campbell (Guy), Nick Martin (Melissa), Travis Martin (Heather), Sara Martin and Kyle Smith (Nikki).
