She was predeceased by: her spouse Summie S. Phillips; her parents, Loy Jonathan Ellis and Leavy Self Ellis; and her siblings, Harry Lee Ellis, J. L. Ellis, Robert Ellis, Lucille Windham, Georgie E. Locklear, Mary E. Phillips and Brenda Thomas.
She is survived by: her daughter Jenol "J. J."; her brother Phillip Ellis (Gail) of Gaffney; her grandchildren, David Warmoth and Chris Warmoth (Teresa); and her great grandchildren, Ashley Warmoth and Heather Warmoth. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
