With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Era Childers of Gaffney, South Carolina, who passed away on July 10, 2020 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Era Childers to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Spencer and Mamie Rains Spencer; her husband Wendell D. Childers; her son Cecil A. Childers; and her siblings, Smithy Spencer, Roy Spencer, Woodrow "Red" Spencer, Bill Spencer, Aughty Parker, Folis Patrick and Bonnie Harmon.
She is survived by: her children, Jerry E. Childers of Belmont, Harold Childers (Julia) of Gaffney and Sylvia C. Holmes (Danny) of Gaffney; and her sister Norma Turner of Gaffney. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren.
