He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Lee Ramsey and Eunice Peeler Ramsey; and his siblings, Howard Ramsey, Hubert Ramsey, Clyde Ramsey, Louise Keenan and Guynita Lopp.
He is survived by: his son Chris Ramsey; his sisters, Frances Dobbins of Gaffney, Betty Ammons (James) of Ellenboro, NC, Margaret Fowler of Cowpens and Mamie Ruffin of Dallas, NC; and his granddaughter Tonya Ramsey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
