He was predeceased by: his parent Alonzo Washington "A. W." Kirby; his daughter Dianne Kirby Cobb; and his siblings, Jack Kirby, Lonnie Belle Kirby Spencer and Grace Kirby Keller.
He is survived by: his spouse Janet Becher Kirby; his parent Edna Wilkins Kirby; his children, Randy Kirby (Evelyn) of Gaffney, Sean Kirby of Spartanburg, Candice Kirby Bayne (Jason) of Travelers Rest and Lacey Kirby Brown (Matthew) of Spartanburg; his brother Robert Kirby of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Amy Cobb Horton (Steve), Daniel Kirby, Jordanleah Kirby, Haley Coker, Ashley Coker-Koch (Colton), John Coker, Jenna Bayne and Emma Bayne; and his great grandchildren, Katlyn Horton Kaigler (Chris), Kristen Horton, Jaden Kirby, Cayden Cobb and Holli Cobb.
