He was predeceased by: his wife Inez Wilkins Owensby Jefferies; his parents, George Wells Jefferies and Lois Millwood Jefferies; and his sons, Wendell Wilkins and David Owensby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ruby Ann Parker of Gaffney, Linda Raines (David) of Spartanburg, Jane Waters (Phil) of Gaffney and Mary Phillips of Spartanburg; and his sister Lois Evelyn Jefferies. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
