With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gwen Phillips of Gaffney, South Carolina, born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, who passed away on June 8, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin Lawson and Rosa Lee Garner Lawson; her son Scotty Richards; her brother Robert Lawson; and her great grandchild Maisey Whiten.
She is survived by: her spouse Kinnett C. Phillips; her children, Jonathan Clary of Rock Hill, Casey Phillips (Heather) of Cardinal, VA, Bridget Williams (Brian) of Simpsonville, Sonya Cox (Amanda Mathis) of Cowpens and Michelle Carracino (Nic) of Inman; and her siblings, E. B. Lawson of Hawaii, Tim Lawson (Kathy) of Conway and Gail Ponder of Boiling Springs, SC. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
