He was predeceased by: his parents, John Batease and Jean Bacon Batease; and his sister Karen Batease. He is survived by: his wife Myra Turner Batease; his children, Chad Parris (Stephanie) of Gaffney, Sommer Doster (Thomas) of Gaffney and Mary Beth Parris of Gaffney; his brother Rod Batease (Vicki) of Florida; and his grandchildren, Owen Hawkins, Noah Parris, Rylan Parris, Hannah Doster, Skylar Doster, Kadence Wright, Caiden Fowler and Braylon Fowler.
