He was predeceased by: his parents, Dock Rufus Elmore and Sunie Jane Wells Elmore; and his sister Phyllis Roland. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Wylie Elmore; his daughters, Jackie Blanton (Bryan) of Simpsonville, Jane Cook (Aaron) of Cowpens and Bobbie Berg (Adam) of Chesapeake, VA; his brother Ray Elmore (Barbara) of Gaffney; his grandchildren, Zach Blanton, Ben Blanton, Chelci Parris (Brandon), Olivia Henson, Riley Cook, Mackenzie Elmore and Nicholas Berg; and his great grandchild Emma Kate Parris.
